Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) Begins August 10

African Fashion Week London AFWL, is set to take place on August 12 and 13, this year in London. A global platform for Africa inspired designers, AFWL has hosted seven catwalk events since inception in 2011 and contributed expertise to more than 12 events produced by 3rd parties such as The Mayor of London’s Black History Month celebrations and the annual Africa Centre Summer Festival.
The  largest  annual  African  fashion  event  in  Europe,  Africa  Fashion  Week  London is scheduled to hold at  the  prestigious  Freemasons’  Hall, 60  Great  Queen  Street,  London  WC2B  5AZ
For  two  full  days  of  catwalk  shows  in  the  beautiful  Grand  Temple, there will be vibrant  and  colourful  exhibitions  by  notable  designers which will  be  displayed  for  lovers  of  African fashion from  all  over  the  Continent.   There will also be  a rich variety of African  food  in the Foodhall.
The Africa  Fashion  Week  London, AFWL has showcased over 900 emerging designers & exhibitors, from Africa, Europe and America, to almost 80,000 visitors including buyers, retailers, influential industry professionals, and the media. It promises to be  the  highlight  of  this year’s summer  events  calendar with African  -inspired  designs dominating  the  international  fashion  scene  like  never  before.

Designers who want to present a collection at the biggest African fashion event in Europe can apply for shows taking place 10-11 August 2018.
Applications will be reviewed and narrowed down to a set of designers who will be selected to participate in the show, conducted by independent professionals in the industry. The panel of professionals will help make final selections for AFWL 2018. Designers who are chosen to participate will be notified as soon as possible. AFWL will maken a public announcement of these designers  with a press release.
