The Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba Lagos wore an ambience of joy recently with the visit of Niola Cancer Care Foundation founder, Eniola Akintunde to the facility, in celebration of life with cancer patients.
The Niola Cancer Care Foundation is a non-governmental organization creating unmatched awareness and prevention of colorectal cancer in Nigeria, while supporting research efforts in finding a cure for the disease.
The foundation, spearheaded by acclaimed bead jeweler who uses gemstones, precious metals, gold filled, and silver in bead designing, Eniola Akintunde who runs the fashion House, Styles by Saennys, has made it a tradition to celebrate her birthdays with cancer patients and victors at the hospital every year so far since she began the awareness campaign.
The event which was soul-lifting, hope-inspiring and fun-packed was tagged ‘Founder’s Day’ to coincide with the birthday of the founder, the amiable, charismatic and humble Eniola.
The foundation also has another tradition of annually spending Christmas with cancer patients as a way of lifting their spirits and giving them hope, in the spirit of the season, providing medical and food deliverables as well as beverages and fruits among others.
We wish her many more productive, healthy, fashion and hope inspiring years ahead, as she continues to impact humanity.
