People generally experience pain in different ways. There are also different means to secure healing and raise bars to move forward.

Human beings have planet earth as their home in which survival includes among other variables, the drive to survive obstacles, obstacles that ensure pain. What then is pain? Pains could be physical, psychological, or emotional. Simply put ,pain is a discomfort one experiences when things do not go as it is meant to. It is a burn in the flesh, a wound in the soul, most especially when such pains are not expected .

The worst pain that can ever happen to an Individual is the psychological pain, which has to deal with mental trauma as a result of a horrible event. This kind of pain does not heal like any other ,even the scars haunt in this kind of pain. Most victims of psychological pains occur due to rape, witnessing murder, loss of a loved one etc. Since psychology has to do with the cognitive, psychological pains scatter the brain and fill it with images of the object of trauma the person is facing to raise excruciating pain. The mind then bleeds every minute and trauma rises out of response to the pain.

People that go through psychological pain often end up depressed , moody, suicidal and sad. This is because they have become powerless to their cognitive and the after effect of the trauma is the negative attitude portrayed above.
The essence of this essay is to provide a therapy that heals slowly but steadily. This is becoming your own therapist. Self therapy is a form of healing where the victim embarks on towards a journey of total well bring. When I lost my father my form of self therapy was writing. I wrote out all my fears, my hopes and dreams and raised the bars in fighting my own demon. It worked. Self therapy is applicable to any of the aforementioned pains. It could be listening to music with  lyrics that elevate the soul. One can always find meaning there
Learning a new art is also important because once your attention shifts from the pain to something worthwhile,  healing has unknowingly started.
