Celebrity weddings expectedly come with pomp and some surprises. Here are a few of them that will pop your eyes.
Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne
A UFC love affair! Mixed Martial Arts stars Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne married on August 26 with a low key Hawaiian ceremony. The duo were lovers (not fighters) as they enjoyed a blissful wedding weekend in Travis’ home state.
Ronda had previously shared some wedding details during a July appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan, revealing: “He’s Hawaiian so we’re gonna do kinda like a backyard Mexican Corona party.”
The pair got engaged in April of 2017, sharing the news on Instagram with a hilarious photoshopped pic that showed Ronda dressed in a tuxedo while carrying a wedding dress-clad Travis. The 30-year-old UFC champion also spoke about the engagement on Live, saying: “It was actually after heavy rain and we were under this waterfall. Apparently he had this whole speech prepared but it just went down into bullet points in the moment. So he pulls out the ring and I’m already like, ‘Uh huh’ before he even says anything. [And he’s] like, ‘Okay, we’re in New Zealand, we’re under a waterfall, will you marry me?’”
The Canadian DJ, whose real name is Joel Thomas Zimmerman, married longtime girlfriend Kelly “Grill” Fedoni on August 12. The record producer, who left his mouse mask at home, captioned the photo with his new bride, “Mr and Mrs grill.”
Kelly, who is a real estate salesperson, also shared several photos from their nuptials. In one photo, she wrote, “Officially Mrs Kelly Lyn Zimmerman ❤ Together forever and always, not a day will go by without me loving you.”
The couple’s engagement became public when Deadmau5 shared the news in January 2016 that he had secretly proposed.
As for special VIP wedding guests, Tommy Lee, Mythbusters’ Troy Belleci and HGTV Canada’s Bryan Baeumler all served as groomsmen.
Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel
The supermodel and the Snapchat founder married in a private ceremony at their home in Brentwood, California on May 27.
The affair was an intimate one, with just 50 guests. The bride looked ‘regal’ and like a ‘natural princess’, and the wedding had a ‘rustic chic’ theme, with the house decorated with light pink roses.
Omarosa Manigault and John Allen Newman
Omarosa is now a Mrs! The former ‘Apprentice’ star, who is now director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison for President Trump, married Pastor John Allen Newman on April 8. Omarosa tied the knot in lavish style in Washington, D.C. at Trump International Hotel and later posted photos of her ceremony to Twitter, including one which read: “Just Married! #HappilyEverNewman”.
The Fast and Furious star took to Instagram to confirm the news, using the hashtags: #TheGibsons #MyNewHeartbeat #ShesBoss. Although the new Mrs. Gibson’s identity was kept a secret, it was clear that Tyrese was beaming with her by his side.
Coco Adeleke and Caleb
Coco, the elder sister of Nigerian hit singer Davido, and her heartthrob, Caleb, returned to the city of gold after their pre-wedding, to be joined in holy matrimony at the Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai. The couple, their families and friends, were all dressed to kill and also to give them their love and support. Coco wore a stunning ball wedding dress, with Make up by Banke Meshida-Lawal.
Toolz Oniru and Tunde Demuren
The who is who in the Media, Aviation, Fashion and Entertainment industries, all converged in Dubai to witness and celebrate another Nigerian glamorous conjugal bliss. This time it was between OAP, Tolu Oniru, aka Tools and her significant other, Tunde Demuren, son of former boss of Civil Aviation Authority, on May 28, 2016. Nigerian celebs gave the United Emirates a run for their money with their jaw dropping drapes, all styled to the nines.

The happy couple, who have two children together, tied the knot over the July 14th weekend in front of a star-studded crowd that included John Legend, Usher and Pharrell Williams. The bride, 42, and groom, 67, were also accompanied by the singer’s nine children, aged three to 42, who acted as best man and bridesmaids.

The supermodel said “I do” to her longtime love during a ceremony in London on June 17. The 28-year-old walked down the aisle in a spaghetti-strap dress by Temperley London and jewels from Chopard.
Arizona took to her Instagram to share a special picture from her big day next to a sweet message to her now husband. “My husband, I loved every single second of marrying you yesterday. It was, as I had been told it would be, the happiest day of my life. @boniface_vc.”
Pippa Middleton and James Matthews
Pippa Middleton went from the world’s most famous bridesmaid to a bride on May 20, 2017. After a nine-month engagement, Kate Middleton’s younger sister said “I do” to James Matthews at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield, England.
The pair tied the knot in front of a number of their closest friends and family members, including Kate and William, Prince Harry, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who served as pageboy and bridesmaid for the occasion.
During their reception that took place at the Middleton family home, Meghan Markle joined her boyfriend Prince Harry in addition to the close to 350 guests. Inside the glass marquee, guests dined on a three-course meal that started with Berkshire Mayfly Trout, served with marinated cucumber, confit tomatoes, horseradish cream and sauce vierge and followed with Herdwick lamb, served with lamb shoulder tortellini, aubergine puree, Yorkshire asparagus and a black olive jus. Dessert was a Glen Affric cranachan cheesecake, accompanied by a Highland whiskey honey – a clear nod to James’s family ties to Scotland.

The Big Bang Theory star married his longtime love on May 13. The couple tied the knot at New York City’s iconic Rainbow Room wearing Tom Ford tuxes. Jim shared photos from his special day on social media, initially making the announcement with a photo of himself and new husband walking up the aisle hand-in-hand, which he simply captioned, “5.13.17 ❤️Rainbow Room, NYC.”
